The Silver City Independence Day Celebration is produced by the Silver City Grant County Chamber of Commerce and is sponsored by PNM and the Town of Silver City.
Come join in for the fun!
There will be booth spaces offering various types of food choices from burritos and gortitas, to hot dogs, corn on the cob, various types of BBQ and plenty of funnel cakes, sno-cones and smoothies. Vendors will be showcasing jewelry, cutlery, apparel, games, face painting and caricatures, along with several informational and non-profit booths.
Parades, fireworks and an old-time Ice Cream Social (at the Silver City Museum) are highlights during Silver City's annual Independence Day festivities.
Fireworks
Good viewing areas are usually available along Highway 90 just prior to downtown. Weather and fire conditions can effect this schedule, so contact the Chamber for more information at (***) ***-****. Fireworks will be at dusk (approximately 9:00 p.m.) July 4
Parade
Silver City's July 4 Parade will take place on July 4. It features riders and groups celebrating Grant County's Western heritage: Many participants are mounted on horseback, adding to the Old West appeal of downtown Silver City. Great viewing spots are available almost everywhere downtown, with particularly good spots on the shady side of Bullard Street.
